SUMMARY:Akron Area Local Race
DESCRIPTION:Akron Area Local Sat. June 7 with a rain date of Sun. June 8\, 2025 \nInspection and Impoundment will be Wednesday June 4\, 2025 starting at 5:30 till 7:30.  You must be in line by 7:30.  Thursday\, June 5 is for those who can not make it Wednesday.  Inspections will be held in the blue barn at topside.  There will be 2 trial run days that are not decided yet.  Saturday June 7 racers need to be down at the bridge at 9am to get their t shirts and to check in.  The board of directors need to be there at 8am to get everything set up.  We will take a group picture\, then racers will go up to topside to prepare for race.  Racers will be given lunch.  There will be no pits for families on the black top by the office.  That is where the derby cars will be impounded between heats. You can set up canopies in front of the bleachers or on up the hill. \nYou will need to fill out a registration packet ahead of time.  If you have not received a packet by the 1st of May or have questions please call or text Vickie Beck at 330-388-8200.. \nThe registration fee is $50.00. \nBanquet will be June 24.  Racers go free. Prizes and awards will be given then. \nThe winner of each division will represent Akron Area at the All American Soap  Box Derby  race on July 19.
